Finance Administrator – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our client’s established and supportive Finance Team, focusing on accounts payable and financial investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate financial queries, discrepancies and unusual transactions to identify causes and resolutions.
• Review invoices, credit notes, account balances and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Carry out detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances or outstanding items.
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex finance queries.
• Maintain clear records of investigations, resolutions and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end processes and ensure outstanding queries are resolved within agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• At least 1 year recent experience in finance administration, accounts, purchase ledger or similar role.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to challenge information.
• Comfortable working with financial systems and analysing financial information.
• Ability to manage multiple investigations and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, curious and career‑driven with a desire to develop within finance.
