Finance Analyst – Commercial Accounting & Business Partnering

About the role

The Finance Analyst will join a leading Business Services group in Rainham, reporting directly to the Finance Director. The role focuses on commercial accounting, business partnering and financial planning, supporting senior management with insight‑driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future financial performance.
• Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Produce rolling forecasts and update financial projections regularly.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Analyse financial results and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modelling.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting in compliance with relevant standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the FP&A function.
• Leverage financial software and tools to streamline reporting and analysis.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for business decisions.
• Assist in the development of long‑term financial plans and strategies.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified accountant with strong commercial accounting experience.
• Proven experience working with finance systems and reporting tools.
