Finance Analyst – Hybrid, Leeds

About the role

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our finance team in Leeds on a hybrid basis. The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Regional Finance Manager and Finance Director, delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis and robust financial control to support strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts.
• Produce regular financial reports and performance analysis for business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare journals, accruals, pre‑payments and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end, half‑year and year‑end reporting processes.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and analysis.
• Create ad‑hoc reports for commercial and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects to drive finance‑function efficiencies.
• Assist the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (practice‑trained accountants welcome).
• Strong analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communicator able to build relationships across finance and non‑finance teams.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a desire to develop in a commercial finance environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
