Finance and Operations Team Leader

About the role

Our client, a growing healthcare group, is looking for a Finance and Operations Team Leader to manage a dedicated finance team of five professionals. The role combines people management with oversight of core finance processes, offering a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of five finance staff.
• Oversee invoice entry, supplier reconciliation, and payment run preparation.
• Monitor bank and petty cash reconciliations and chase outstanding invoices.
• Report invoice discrepancies and ensure compliance with group KPIs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and allocate work to meet deadlines.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of finance personnel.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a team management or supervisory role.
• Strong desire to lead, develop and motivate a finance team.
• Good understanding of finance processes, with hands‑on experience or relevant qualification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel.
