Finance Apprentice – Credit Control & Accounts Support

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Finance Apprentice to join a growing finance team in Witham. You will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of finance activities while working towards a recognised Accounts Assistant qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and chase outstanding payments.
• Send payment reminders and account statements.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Respond to invoice and payment queries from customers.
• Assist with aged debt reporting and credit control activities.
• Process purchase invoices and expense claims.
• Update and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support month‑end finance activities and data‑cleansing projects.

Required profile

• Keen to develop a career in finance and accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Previous work experience is beneficial but not essential.
