Finance Assistant – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join our client’s expanding finance team in Bristol. The role offers a varied mix of bookkeeping, client liaison and financial reporting, supporting a portfolio of growing businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping using cloud‑based accounting software.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and perform account reconciliations.
• Produce balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Liaise with suppliers, process supplier payments and support payment runs.
• Communicate with customers regarding invoices and resolve account queries.
• Respond to day‑to‑day finance queries from clients.

Required profile

• Organised and proactive individual with experience in finance or accounting.
• Enjoys working with a range of clients and handling diverse financial tasks.
• Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
