About the role
This innovative, well‑established organisation based near Woking is seeking an entry‑level Finance Assistant to join their team. The role is fully office‑based and ideal for a driven individual looking to kick‑start a career in finance.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of collecting outstanding customer debts across UK entities.
- Monitor aged debt and escalate issues according to procedures.
- Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payment and dispute resolution.
- Support cash collection forecasting.
- Maintain accurate customer account records within the ERP system.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support bank reconciliation processes as required.
- Maintain petty cash records and reconciliations.
- Generate credit notes as required and ensure all necessary approvals.
Required profile
- Active desire to pursue a career in finance.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be a car driver.
