Finance Assistant

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established client to hire a Finance Assistant for their fast‑paced finance team. The position sits within the Accounts Payable function, where you will ensure payments are made on time and reconciliations are accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations using Microsoft Excel.
• Process pre‑approved invoices, including foreign invoices.
• Investigate and resolve invoicing queries such as price and quantity discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing scheduled payment runs, ensuring only valid transactions are paid.
• Provide general admin and finance support to the Accounts Payable and wider finance team.

Required profile

• Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
• Recent office experience in roles such as finance administrator, accounts payable or purchase ledger.
• Confident communication with suppliers and internal contacts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

• Annual salary of £26,000‑£27,000.
