Finance Assistant

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports the finance department of a professional legal services firm in London’s Holborn area. The role is office‑based, Monday to Friday, and is ideal for candidates with strong administrative and data‑entry abilities who enjoy interacting with barristers and solicitors.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with legal professionals via telephone and email.
• Handle credit control, post purchase invoices and manage supplier payments.
• Process expenses, petty cash, credit‑card and BACS payments.
• Maintain the creditors ledger and sales ledger records.
• Provide absence cover for the Head of Finance and support ad‑hoc finance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in a finance or clerk role, preferably within the legal sector.
• Full right to work in the UK and fluent English communication skills.
• GCSE/O‑Level or A‑Level education with good grades in Maths and English.
• Accurate data‑entry capability and a team‑oriented approach.

What we offer

• Salary £28,000 – £31,000 per year, dependent on experience.
