Finance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join the finance team of a fast‑growing real estate firm in London. The role supports the month‑end and quarter‑end reporting cycle and offers study support for early‑career accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Review and analyse financial statements across multiple entities.
• Support consolidation work and produce reporting packs for senior management.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors and help with year‑end audit activities.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) – study support available.
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS; exposure to US GAAP is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Effective communicator able to work across teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with US GAAP (optional).
