Finance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Finance Assistant to support our growing international finance team. The role is remote and involves day‑to‑day bookkeeping, month‑end accounts and payment processing for UK and US entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for UK and US entities.
• Assist with month‑end close, including accruals, pre‑payments and routine journal entries.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Xero, posting invoices, payments and other transactions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations and promptly investigate differences.
• Support the full payment cycle, ensuring instructions are complete, accurate and authorised.
• Liaise with payment processors, banks and internal teams to resolve payment queries and beneficiary issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance, accounts assistant, bookkeeping or payment operations role.
• Good understanding of basic bookkeeping, double‑entry accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with transactional data.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organise workload, meet deadlines and work effectively in a remote, cross‑border team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience using Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel skills.
