Finance Assistant – Part‑time (24 hrs, includes Friday)

About the role

Delta Hotels by Marriott Manchester Airport is seeking a Finance Assistant to work 24 hours per week across 3, 4 or 5 days, with a mandatory Friday shift. This part‑time position supports the hotel's finance team in daily transactional and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable and maintain the sales ledger.
• Perform revenue control checks and support month‑end reporting.
• Handle accounts payable, commissions and general cashier duties.
• Record and reconcile payments accurately and on time.
• Prepare direct billing with appropriate backup documentation.
• Maintain commission logs for groups and events, ensuring proper accruals.
• Provide change to associates and managers as required.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recording.
• Ability to follow established procedures and LSOPs.
• Good verbal communication with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
• Commitment to health, safety and security policies.
• Professional appearance and confidentiality handling.
