About the role

This permanent Finance Assistant position supports the accounting and finance team of a small retail business in Runcorn. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented individual who enjoys working with numbers and contributing to smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes.
• Handle queries related to financial transactions and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
