Finance Assistant with AAT/CIMA Study Support

About the role

We are recruiting a Finance Assistant to join a fast‑growing business in Warrington. The role offers exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across three branches and includes study support for AAT and further professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices.
• Manage invoicing for three company branches and liaise with branch managers.
• Assist with credit control, customer account queries and month‑end processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records, support reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and allocation of overhead costs.
• Respond to finance queries from internal and external stakeholders and maintain finance systems.

Required profile

• Experience in an accounts or finance environment, preferably with exposure to both AP and AR.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident working with numbers and comfortable using Excel and finance systems.
• Good communicator, able to liaise across the business.
• Independent yet a strong team player, proactive, motivated and ambitious.
• Studying towards an AAT qualification or keen to continue professional studies.
