Finance Business Partner – 12 month FTC

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join a high‑visibility finance team in Liverpool. Working hybrid (2‑3 days on site), you will partner directly with demanding professional stakeholders, providing clear financial insight and supporting strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
• Deliver financial analysis, insight and support to inform decision‑making.
• Review performance, budgets and forecasts, investigating variances and trends.
• Challenge assumptions and provide constructive commercial input.
• Produce accurate and meaningful management information.
• Respond promptly to stakeholder queries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting and processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Post‑qualified experience in business partnering, commercial finance or management accounting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working with professional, detail‑oriented stakeholders.
• Resilient, confident and comfortable in a challenging environment.
• Customer‑service mindset with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
• Ability to influence, build credibility and establish strong relationships quickly.
