Finance Business Partner – Commercial FP&A

About the role

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will sit within the FP&A team and work closely with Sales and Marketing at Maldon Salt. You will provide high‑quality financial insight, performance and margin analysis, and act as a trusted partner influencing pricing, promotions and demand‑planning decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build credibility and trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing and senior leadership.
• Analyse sales, pricing, margin and product mix to explain performance and drive action.
• Deliver clear analysis of volume, price, margin and mix by customer, channel and product.
• Provide decision‑ready commentary for management and executive reviews.
• Partner on promotional, new‑product‑development and product‑range decisions.
• Contribute insight and challenge within the S&OP demand‑planning process.
• Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI).

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering, preferably within FMCG or a product‑led environment.
• Strong analytical capability with confidence to influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage projects or workstreams across functions.
