Finance Business Partner – Income and Service Charges

About the role

Join a purpose‑driven social housing organisation in Liverpool as a Finance Business Partner – Income. Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will own income accounting with a focus on rent and service charges, supporting robust financial performance and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Finance Business Partner for all income‑related activities, including rent and service charge accounting.
• Support budget setting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Produce insightful management information and financial analysis for operational and strategic decisions.
• Partner with operational managers to improve financial performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist the Head of Finance Business Partnering on key projects and wider finance initiatives.
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance within your area of responsibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting.

Required profile

• Engaging finance professional who builds relationships across the business.
• Commercially minded, proactive and confident in influencing stakeholders.
• Studying towards CIMA or ACCA, or already fully qualified.
• Experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accounting role.
• Familiarity with income, rent or service‑charge accounting in social housing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised, curious with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to interpret and present financial information to non‑finance audiences.
