Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Customer Services directorate of a respected housing organisation. Acting as a trusted adviser, you will translate financial data into actionable insight, support budgeting and forecasting, and influence strategic decisions that improve service delivery and value for money.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and statutory reports for a subsidiary.
• Partner with directors and budget holders to develop budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide commercial insight.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and monitor financial performance throughout the year.
• Lead the annual audit process and maintain robust financial controls and reconciliations.
• Mentor and develop an Assistant Management Accountant.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong communicator who builds relationships with operational teams.
• Commercially minded and comfortable challenging stakeholders.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
