Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with budget holders and senior managers to provide financial insight, support strategic planning, and help drive improvements that benefit services and communities in Teesside.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with budget holders and senior managers to support financial planning and decision‑making.
• Provide robust budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present management information to a range of stakeholders.
• Support the annual budget setting process and medium‑term financial planning.
• Challenge and influence stakeholders to improve financial outcomes.
• Contribute to service improvement and value‑for‑money initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practice.

Required profile

• Experience in finance business partnering, management accounting, or a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful insights.
• Proactive and collaborative working style.
• Part‑qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience finance professionals will be considered.
