Finance Business Partner – Life Sciences

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will provide strategic financial insights and support decision‑making within a medium‑sized life sciences organisation. Working closely with stakeholders, you will help drive financial efficiency and improve business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Provide insights into financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support the accounting and finance team with monthly reporting processes.
• Analyse financial data to aid decision‑making and business planning.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and implement financial models for key initiatives.
• Act as a trusted adviser to department heads on financial matters.

Required profile

• Professional accounting/finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the life sciences sector is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder liaison.
• Proactive problem‑solving and process‑improvement mindset.
