Finance Business Partner – Technology & Transformation

About the role

This 7‑month contract offers a senior finance professional the chance to become the trusted financial adviser to a Technology Leadership Team during a period of digital and AI transformation. Working closely with the CIO and senior technology stakeholders, you will influence investment decisions and help shape the strategic direction of technology spend.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CIO and Technology Leadership Team as their finance adviser.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the technology function.
• Produce month‑end reporting, financial analysis and executive commentary.
• Develop financial models, investment appraisals and business cases for technology initiatives.
• Support multiple digital transformation projects from a financial perspective.
• Collaborate with project managers and sponsors to keep projects financially on track.
• Provide commercial insight on software licensing, supplier contracts and technology investment.
• Advise on Capex and Opex treatment for technology expenditure.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven finance business partnering experience, preferably supporting technology, IT or digital teams.
• Experience working with senior technology leaders such as CIO, CTO or Technology Director.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
