Finance Control Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a market‑leading telecommunications business to find a Finance Controls Manager for a three‑month temporary assignment in Bristol. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, fully compliant financial results into the General Ledger and drive faster month‑end close.
• Prepare accounting papers, manage complex contract judgments and provide expert advice on IFRS 16, IAS 37, deferred costs and performance obligations.
• Document, implement and maintain effective financial processes and internal controls, ensuring standardisation and compliance.
• Manage audit processes and liaise with internal and external auditors to meet regulatory standards.
• Act as subject‑matter expert to streamline financial operations, enhance data insights and align practices across a matrixed commercial environment.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly IFRS 16 and IAS 37.
• Proven experience in a complex, fast‑paced, matrixed commercial organisation.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Prior audit or Big Four experience is highly desirable.
