Finance Controller – Construction

About the role
We are seeking a Finance Controller to lead the financial operations of a fast‑growing private construction business entering the London market. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the finance function across all residential projects.
Key responsibilities
- Own reporting for the entire project portfolio.
- Prepare and maintain cash‑flow forecasts.
- Implement strategic processes and develop the commercial finance strategy.
- Manage and develop the finance team.
- Ensure financial control and compliance, including VAT returns and CIS reporting.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience in the construction sector, preferably with exposure to CIS.
- Proven ability to prepare senior‑level presentations for the board.
Required skills
- VAT compliance.
- CIS knowledge.
- Cash‑flow forecasting.
- Financial reporting.
