Finance Controller – Part‑time/Flexi Role in London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join a fast‑growing activation and influencer agency in central London. This newly created, hands‑on position will bring the finance function in‑house, giving you full ownership of day‑to‑day financial stewardship while working closely with the Finance Director and external accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close and present management accounts to the Founder.
• Support the CFO on project and team profitability analysis.
• Run daily finance operations in Xero, including cash management and supplier payments.
• Execute the weekly payment cycle, prioritising payments against available cash.
• Track production, events and influencer project costs against revenue.
• Manage deferred income and revenue recognition for multi‑month projects.
• Reconcile quarterly retainer billing and oversee expense processing via Dext.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a finance manager, controller or head‑of‑finance role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a creative, cash‑conscious environment.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
• Dext expense management tool.
