Finance Director - High-Growth Technology Business

About the role

The Growth Foundation is recruiting a Finance Director for a high-growth technology business based in London. This is a commercially focused role for someone who combines strong financial expertise with sound judgement, commercial challenge and a robust approach to risk and compliance. Working closely with the founder and leadership team, you will help shape financial strategy, strengthen governance and guide sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the financial strategy, planning and performance of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial reporting
• Provide clear commercial insight to the founder and leadership team and challenge key business decisions
• Identify, assess and manage financial, commercial and operational risk
• Maintain robust financial controls, processes and governance, and own finance-related compliance as the business scales
• Build financial models to support strategic decisions and investment, and oversee profitability, cash and business performance
• Manage relationships with external accountants, advisers and other professional partners
• Help build the financial infrastructure required for continued growth

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally having trained within a leading professional services environment before gaining commercial experience in SaaS, ecommerce, technology or another high-growth business
• Experience at Finance Director, Financial Controller or a comparable senior finance level
• Experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and a hands-on approach
• Ability to challenge founders and senior stakeholders when required

• Excellent understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance
• Technology-savvy mindset and excellent communication skills

The role is full-time and executive/senior level, with a competitive package including equity.
