Finance Director

About the role

OpenWorks is seeking a Finance Director to lead the financial management of its UK parent and US subsidiary. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the finance function, drive improvement initiatives and act as a strategic partner to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Set long‑term budgets and produce financial forecasts.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary for board and senior management.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Design and monitor KPIs, proactively managing financial risks and opportunities.
• Champion the optimisation of the newly implemented Infor Cloudsuite ERP system.
• Lead, develop and nurture a capable finance team.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven leadership experience.
• Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑growing, commercially focused environment.
• Comfortable communicating complex finance concepts to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Willingness to adopt technology, AI and automation to improve financial outputs.

Required skills

• ERP experience – Infor Cloudsuite or similar.
• Financial modelling and budgeting.
• Advanced KPI development and monitoring.
• Proficiency with financial analysis tools.
