About the role
We are seeking a senior, hands‑on Finance Director to join our team on a part‑time basis. Based in the Cambridge area, you will lead the finance function and sit as a key member of the board, shaping the company’s financial strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and cash‑flow management.
- Produce board and investor reports, monthly management accounts and KPI insights.
- Oversee core finance operations and ensure compliance with statutory and company secretarial duties.
- Manage relationships with external accountants and internal stakeholders.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven board‑level experience with a commercial mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of AI applications in finance.
What we offer
- Competitive full‑time equivalent salary of £80,000‑£90,000 per year.
