Finance Director

About the role

Broadwood Resources Limited is seeking a Finance Director to join its Board of Directors. You will lead the finance function for a fast‑growing flooring and interior finishes contractor with six regional depots across England.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off draft management accounts, statutory accounts and tax computations.
• Prepare board packs with variance analysis to influence future results.
• Advise on financial planning, tax planning and profitability through business controls and systems.
• Provide hands‑on financial leadership across operations, including FP&A, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve margins in collaboration with Commercial and Operations teams.
• Engage directly with clients on solus/rebate deals and escalated debt recovery.
• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team, including the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• A confident team player with strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in senior finance leadership within a multi‑site business.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
