Finance Director – £80-90k (Crawley)

About the role

The company is a well‑established SME based in Crawley seeking a Finance Director to lead its finance function. You will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to shape commercial strategy while managing a small finance team. The position is primarily on‑site with occasional remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Partner with the Managing Director to provide financial analysis, KPI reporting, cash‑flow management and cost‑saving recommendations.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting, preparation of management accounts and coordination of external audits.
• Take ownership of the ERP system, driving continual improvement and optimisation.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional.
• Current experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance, ready to step into a Finance Director role.
• Proven ability to lead a small finance team and influence senior stakeholders.
• Dynamic, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑moving SME environment.
