Finance & HR Manager – Full‑time, Salisbury

About the role

This permanent, office‑based position combines finance leadership with HR support for a growing SME near Salisbury. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will own the day‑to‑day finance function while also acting as the first point of contact for employee‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations, including purchase and sales ledgers and payroll processing.
• Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
• Manage annual budgeting, forecasting and VAT/statutory reporting.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and advisers.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Act as primary HR contact: support recruitment, onboarding and employee administration.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation and assist with performance reviews.
• Coordinate training, development activities and support health & safety administration.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or similar in an SME environment.
• Strong management‑accounting, reporting and cash‑flow expertise.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and build relationships across the business.
• Experience with HR administration is advantageous.
• Qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience will be considered.
