Finance Leadership (Controller / CFO) – UK Wide

About the role

We are seeking senior finance leaders for UK‑wide positions ranging from Financial Controller to Chief Financial Officer. The role is based in the UK and can be on‑site, hybrid or remote, offering the opportunity to own the finance function end‑to‑end and act as a commercial partner to the CEO and board.

Key responsibilities

• Own the finance function – reporting, control, planning, treasury and tax oversight.
• Set and execute the financial strategy aligned with the business strategy.
• Lead month‑end, year‑end, statutory accounts, external audit and control environment.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and capital allocation.
• Oversee cash‑flow, treasury, working capital and funding.
• Build, scale and lead high‑performing finance teams.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance, risk and compliance.
• Lead fundraising, M&A, investor relations or banking relationships where applicable.
• Drive finance systems, process improvement and transformation.
• Deliver board reporting and act as a true commercial partner to the executive team.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with substantial post‑qualification leadership experience.
• Proven track record running a finance function at a relevant scale.
• Experience building, scaling and developing finance teams.
• Executive‑level communication and credibility with boards.
