About the role

An exciting 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity has opened for a Finance Manager in Kingsbridge, Devon. The role is suitable for a hands‑on Finance Manager or Company Accountant who enjoys a varied, ownership‑driven position within a growing SME. Candidates can work four or five days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations and ensure smooth running of the function.
• Produce accurate financial reports and provide insight to support business decisions.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and supporting analysis.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintain robust financial controls.
• Liaise with external auditors and support the year‑end audit process.
• Work closely with senior leadership to provide commercial financial support.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and add value across the business.

Required profile

• Experienced Finance Manager with a strong hands‑on SME background.
• Confident managing a broad finance function with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of management accounts, reporting, and cash flow.
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
