Finance Manager – Fast‑Growing Business

About the role

We are partnering with a rapidly expanding business that expects turnover to rise from £7.5m to £25m within the next year. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will bridge senior leadership and day‑to‑day finance operations, driving reporting excellence and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Assistant Accountant.
• Produce monthly management accounts and P&L reports.
• Support the preparation of board packs and management information.
• Assist with consolidations across the business.
• Oversee accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end processes.
• Provide payroll oversight.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support implementation and development of Microsoft Business Central.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Collaborate closely with operational stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part‑qualified, or QBE.
• Strong management accounting experience.
• Excellent month‑end and financial reporting skills.
• Proven ability to improve processes and controls.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing environment.
• Exposure to private‑equity‑backed businesses (advantageous).
• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder relationship skills.
