Finance Manager – FMCG Business

About the role

This newly created Finance Manager position sits within a well‑recognised FMCG business. You will be a hands‑on finance professional, supporting day‑to‑day operations while contributing to strategic commercial decisions. The role offers a clear progression route towards Finance Director for ambitious candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable – set up and maintain supplier records, resolve queries and run payment runs.
• Accounts Receivable – maintain customer records, post sales invoices and credits, issue statements and support credit control.
• Banking – perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations, post receipts and payments.
• VAT & Compliance – prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
• Month‑end support – assist with accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Process improvement – suggest and help implement efficiency and accuracy enhancements.

Required profile

• AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or actively studying towards one of these qualifications.
• Relevant experience in a similar finance role, preferably within manufacturing or product‑related businesses.
• Proven ability to build finance processes and procedures from the ground up.
• Clear communication style and professional manner when dealing with customers and suppliers.
• Ambitious, driven and inquisitive mindset.

Required skills

• MS Business Central (training will be provided).
• Advanced Excel.
