Finance Manager – Hybrid (Milton Keynes)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the operational finance function for The Parks Trust, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This hybrid role combines robust financial control with strategic influence across a large urban park estate.

Key responsibilities

• Month‑end and year‑end reporting, statutory accounts and group consolidations
• Annual budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• External audit coordination and regulatory compliance
• Tax compliance including VAT and Corporation Tax
• Business partnering with senior leaders
• Developing finance systems, processes and internal controls
• Leading and developing a finance team of four
• Supporting strategic projects and deputising for the Finance Director when required

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or QBE with relevant leadership experience)
• Strong technical accounting expertise
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in month‑end, year‑end and statutory reporting
• Charity or not‑for‑profit experience is advantageous but not essential
