Finance Manager (Interim Head of Finance)

About the role

Join a well‑established consultancy that delivers bespoke, high‑end projects. As the interim Head of Finance you will work closely with the design team, plan weekly finance activities and manage the sales pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule finance work, customer invoices and update recorded hours against project budgets.
• Manage cash flow, update projected and extended cash‑flow forecasts and prepare schedules of large payments such as VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax.
• Attend weekly cash‑flow meetings and deliver cash‑flow analysis.
• Produce monthly management information including P&L, cash flow, project pipeline and KPI reporting.
• Handle corporation tax, quarterly VAT returns and PAYE, oversee supplier payments, bank reconciliations and manage a part‑time bookkeeper.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with experience in an SME finance manager role within a project‑focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cash‑flow management skills.
• Ability to commit to a minimum three‑month assignment.
