Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established manufacturing business in the West Leeds area to find a Finance Manager who can influence the direction of a growing company. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will combine technical accounting expertise with people management and business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process and produce accurate management accounts and KPI reports.
• Prepare insightful board reports to support strategic decision‑making.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Partner with departmental managers to monitor costs, challenge spend and improve profitability.
• Support budgeting, quarterly forecasts and cash‑flow planning.
• Oversee working‑capital monitoring, cash forecasting and banking relationships.
• Lead, develop and motivate a small finance team of two.
• Own the annual audit, VAT reporting and statutory compliance.
• Oversee stock reporting, fixed‑asset accounting and provide analysis for manufacturing performance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven people‑management and team‑development skills.
