Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Finance Manager to join our well‑established business on the outskirts of Maidstone. You will own the day‑to‑day finance function, work closely with internal stakeholders and support month‑end and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of day‑to‑day transactional finance processes.
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations.
• Support month‑end processes and preparation of management accounts.
• Assist with reporting, journal entries and financial analysis.
• Review processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the wider business.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager or strong Senior Accountant.
• Strong transactional finance background with experience supporting management accounts.
• Good understanding of month‑end processes and reconciliations.
• Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of a finance function.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
