Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a well‑established business in Knutsford on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. The role offers broad exposure to financial management, reporting, business partnering and operational finance, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts process from preparation to presentation.
• Produce weekly KPI reports and discuss results with operational stakeholders and senior management.
• Prepare weekly accounts receivable and cash‑flow reports, allocate and reconcile customer receipts.
• Oversee customer invoicing, manage non‑invoiced revenue and supplier purchase orders.
• Raise and manage purchase orders for non‑operational spend and inter‑company recharges.
• Complete bank reconciliations and drive credit‑control activities.
• Provide guidance to accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Deliver ad‑hoc financial analysis and identify process improvements.
• Support wider finance projects and operational initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
• Demonstrated ability to produce monthly management accounts.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to non‑financial audiences.
