Finance Manager

About the role

This senior finance position is based in Hoddesdon and offers the chance to manage day‑to‑day finance operations while shaping the future finance function. You will work closely with the COO and the leadership team, driving process improvements and providing commercial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
• Oversee credit control, supplier payments and payroll liaison with external accountants.
• Lead month‑end close, management accounts preparation and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and support audit requirements.
• Review and improve finance processes, enhance monthly management accounts and develop meaningful financial reporting.
• Drive efficiencies through system automation and become the finance lead for Microsoft Business Central.
• Produce analysis on margins, profitability and cash flow and partner with senior stakeholders on commercial decisions.

Required profile

• ACCA or CIMA finalist or recent graduate.
• Proven experience in operational finance with a hands‑on approach.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and improve existing processes.

What we offer

• Salary £55,000 – £62,000 per year.
