Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established independent estate agency operating across Buckinghamshire, the Chilterns and Oxfordshire, is seeking a Finance Manager to support its continued growth following a major acquisition. You will lead the finance function, ensuring compliance, providing strategic insight and driving financial performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive financial oversight to optimise efficiency and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer, managing all AML activities.
• Oversee tax planning, budgeting, forecasting and budget management.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational and strategic risks.
• Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Build strong cross‑departmental relationships to embed financial strategies.
• Ensure timely collection of aged debt and prompt payment of invoices.
• Allocate spend against profit & loss statements and manage lettings accounts.
• Provide data‑driven analysis to support future acquisitions.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a financial management role with strong accounts background.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Xero accounting software (advantageous).
