Finance Manager

About the role

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to lead the UK accounting function for a well‑established technology business in Leatherhead. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will own the full range of day‑to‑day financial operations with minimal oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of the UK accounting function, including bank reconciliations, journal entries and transaction processing.
• Management of accounts receivable ledger and customer follow‑ups.
• Processing payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
• Month‑end close activities such as pre‑paids, accruals, depreciation and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Financial controls and reporting across the order cycle, including purchase orders and commercial agreements.
• Sales administration, vendor registrations and coordination with the sales team.
• Maintaining the link between inventory management and accounting systems through to COGS.
• Cash‑flow monitoring and compliance filings.
• Small office‑management tasks such as contract administration and ordering.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in an all‑round accounting role, preferably within a small or medium‑sized business.
• Ability to work independently with minimal day‑to‑day oversight.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month‑end processes.
• Self‑starter who can hit the ground running and enjoys variety.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Experience with inventory management systems (a plus).
