Finance Manager

About the role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Finance Manager to join one of its clinical divisions. The role will support the Trust’s £1bn+ financial strategy and provide comprehensive financial management for the division’s clinical and non‑clinical activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial analysis of the division’s activities, supporting decision‑making and strategic planning.
• Oversee the preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts for the division.
• Provide financial leadership and guidance to the division’s managers and staff.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure a professional, proactive service.
• Support the implementation of the Trust’s overarching financial strategy and contribute to the finance team’s vision.

Required profile

• Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to make a significant impact.
• Experience in financial management within a large NHS Trust or comparable organisation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and non‑clinical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
