Finance Manager

About the role

Dynamite Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function for a small, family‑run business in East Grinstead. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee the finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase ledgers, process invoices and chase outstanding debts.
• Produce monthly management reports and profit & loss summaries.
• Complete daily bank, credit‑card and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Prepare accounts through to trial balance for year‑end review.
• Support or manage monthly payroll processing and pension contributions.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns via Sage in line with Making Tax Digital.
• Produce CIS returns and maintain accurate financial records using Sage Line 50.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar finance role.
• Confidence managing accounts through to trial balance.
• AAT Level 4 qualification preferred (or QBE).
• Strong Excel skills with good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
