Finance Manager (No2) – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Finance Manager (No2) to join an international manufacturing group. In this hybrid role you will partner closely with the UK&I Head of Finance and senior leadership, influencing strategy, processes and growth across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and management reporting.
• Produce budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Partner with operational managers on margin analysis, costing and commercial decisions.
• Own stock accounting, product costing and inventory controls.
• Manage year‑end audit, statutory reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support group reporting and inter‑company accounting.
• Drive finance process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of two.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing, FMCG or other stock‑led environment.
• Proven ability to balance technical finance work with commercial business partnering.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, costing and margin analysis.
• Leadership experience managing a small finance team.

Required skills

• Sage 200 (or similar ERP system).
• ERP systems proficiency.
