Finance Manager – Pudsey, West Yorkshire

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance function in Pudsey, West Yorkshire. You will own day‑to‑day financial operations, provide commercial insight to senior leadership, and help the business scale safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Month‑end leadership – drive a smooth close and deliver accurate consolidated management accounts and KPI reporting.
• Board reporting – produce decision‑making packs for senior leadership.
• Balance‑sheet control – maintain robust reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Cost management – partner with department heads to review overheads and support smart spending decisions.
• Budgeting & forecasting – assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital.
• Team leadership – motivate, coach and develop a finance team of four, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Cash forecasting & debtor finance – monitor debtors and working capital, providing weekly data to senior leadership.
• Stock & manufacturing analysis – lead annual stock counts, variance reporting and analysis of manufacturing data.
• Audit & compliance – act as main contact for auditors; ensure VAT, deferred VAT/duty and PVA are recorded correctly.
• Payroll support – work with the Financial Accountant on in‑house payroll and headcount reporting.
• Fixed assets – maintain the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation policies.

Required profile

• CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience operating at senior management team (SMT) level.
• Strong team‑management background, leading a finance team of at least four.
• Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and audit liaison.

What we offer

• Salary £45,000‑£55,000 per annum plus a 10 % annual bonus.
• Flexible working – finish at 1 pm on Fridays.
• Permanent full‑time role based onsite in Pudsey, West Yorkshire.
