Finance Manager – UK

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead key financial operations for a mid‑sized, blue‑chip owned business in the South East of England. You will ensure accurate reporting, drive budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise financial performance.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks.
• Lead and mentor a small finance team.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes.
• Drive process and system improvements.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to step into a leadership role.
