Finance Officer (Junior/Mid-level)

About the role

Join Harvey John as a Finance Officer for an exciting 3-month temporary contract based in Brighton. Working directly under the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations while gaining significant exposure to FCA-regulated environments.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Oversee credit control and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Conduct basic financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Currently studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
• 2 to 3 years of diverse experience in a finance role (strong AP/AR background).
• Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working with various financial systems.
