Finance Payroll Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Payroll Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role offers a solid entry point for candidates with strong administrative abilities and a keen interest in payroll and finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support payroll processing, including timesheets and employee records.
• Maintain accurate financial and payroll information.
• Assist with purchase and sales ledger duties.
• Process invoices and support bank reconciliations.
• Use Microsoft Excel to analyse, manage and report financial data.
• Provide general administrative support to the wider finance team.
• Carry out ad‑hoc finance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or similar role.
• Exposure to payroll or financial administration is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
• Available to start immediately or within the next two weeks.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and data analysis).
