Finance & Payroll Assistant

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance & Payroll Assistant to join a growing organisation in the Warrington area. The role offers exposure to all aspects of transactional finance and payroll within a supportive team environment, ideal for an experienced finance or payroll professional looking to broaden their skills.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices, supplier payments and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly payroll processing, including starters, leavers and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain accurate financial records, expenses and employee payroll data.
• Assist with month‑end activities such as journals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Respond to finance and payroll queries while supporting continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance, accounts or payroll position.
• Knowledge of purchase ledger, reconciliations and payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
